Jewelry

Mary Gohman

St Cloud

Designs range from contemporary to organic forms as I experiment with variations and techniques. I often incorporate twigs that are molded and cast into sterling and gold, adding fabricated elements. I carve the wax, cast and fabricate pieces in sterling and 14k gold. I use traditional faceted and cabochon gemstones along with the unique forms of fossils, crystalline , uncut and carved shapes.

Mary Best

Victoria Rose Originals, Richfield

All jewelry in the Victoria Rose Originals line is created using a variety of beading techniques. Each year new designs are added providing several different styles to choose from. I love working with the beauty of antique beads, semi-precious stones, seed beads, vintage glass, gold-filled or sterling silver findings, or a combination of these in each unique piece.

Jackie Bizek

THe Hughes Girls, Chanhassen

My jewelry making techniques include resin, wire wrapping, cold connections, epoxy clay and beading. Definitely never make the same thing twice. Often times bring in a bit of humor with vintage photos. Style would be categorized as “Boho” with lots of leather! Jewelry for the young at heart! Leather, bright colors, humor, for a reasonable prices.

Sue Hammes-Knopf

Full Bloom Beadwork, Northfield

I use perfected bead-weaving techniques to make my original jewelry. My primary materials are tiny, colorful glass beads.

I hand-weave each element in my pieces. To weave the beads I use the thinnest needles and filament fishing line. I may also use bits of fiber, metal, glass and stone in my pieces.

Sue Peoples

Peoples Bead Dreams, Owatanna

I use Italian glass to melt and create handmade lampwork beads that I then incorporate into jewelry. My jewelry showcases my love for bead weaving and lampwork into one. I gravitate towards bright and bold colors, textures, and designs which envoke happiness. I am a jewelry artist with a keen sense of design and a fondness for color. Working with glass and fire is meditative for me and brings me joy.

Mark Nuebel

Newport

All my work is derived from sheet metal and wire in many gauges and many different surface treatments to bring out the fun and elegance of well designed mixed metal jewelry. Forever in love with the miniature as a boy and ever since, I found satisfying artistic expression in my style of miniature sculptural art. I might describe their qualities as whimsical industrial and mechanical.

Sarah Flicek

Felixery, Dleano

Hand hewn sterling silver jewelry created using traditional metalsmith techniques often accented with stones. Creating is very spiritual for me. It is in my being. My art reflects my love for Life around me; people & things, natural & industrial. Working in metal merges my innate need to be precise in the skills and knowledge of the medium with the freedom & creativity of being an artist

Ann Aas

Annmade in Minnesota, Chanhassen

I enamel using copper or brass. The metal is pinched, pounded or fold formed. Next it is heated with a mapp gas torch and dipped in crushed glass to create the enamel finish. Surface interest is created with ceramic decals, frit, silkscreen & hand painting. I incorporate amazonite, terra agate and pearls beads to finish the pieces.

Louise Payjack-Guillou

Atelier and Stone, Duluth

I use lost wax casting and enjoy playing with texturing techniques to create surface decoration. Patterns are formed by hammering, rolling, pressing and manipulating antiques or found objects. These textural elements are juxtaposed with hand set gemstones to create interest with pops of color and varied compositions to create clean and modern jewelry compositions designed to be worn as everyday luxury.

Jeanne Trelles

Vikse Designs, Saint PAul

I create unique and wearable jewelry using sterling silver, 14k gold, and semi-precious stones. I use a variety of silversmithing techniques, including sawing, hammering, stamping and rolling texture, soldering, stone setting and lapidary, to hand fabricate settings and texture the metal in order to highlight the natural shape and patterns of the stones.
